Market Analysis

All countries with low labour costs or efficient agricultural production methods are suitable targets for the BFG system of yield enhancement.

Initial investor funds will be used to commission an international consulting firm to undertake a detailed market assessment to be used as the basis of our business plan.

  • World oil prices and lowering oil quality are forcing oil dependant nations to re-evaluate their fossil fuel dependencies.
  • Globally petroleum companies are expanding ethanol production faster than feedstocks can be sourced, this fuel source is starting to impact upon food production areas.
  • Using BFG technology there is increased potential for fuel sources to be grown in marginal areas rather than competing for land used for food production.

Specific example India and Jatropha

India spends US$27 billion on diesel imports annually. The Indian Government has identified 39 million hectares as being suitable for Jatropha production. BFG has the potential to increase these yields by between 30 and 40%. At 35% BFG would add annual value to this crop of US $13.65 billion.

Key Competitive Capabilities

  • Global scientific breakthrough
  • Scientifically proven
  • Ability to increase customer returns by between 30 and 40%
  • Large market place with small no. of customers
  • Global application
  • Replaces a shrinking environmentally unsound resource
  • Governments mandating biofuel usage
  • Sustainability

Commercialisation - Market acceptance

BFG is currently meeting with financiers and industry participants to discuss university results and the potential for polyploids within the biofuel industry. It is expected that the commercialisation of the technology could take multiple paths based on a detailed market analysis, indicative routes to commercialisation may be:

  • Partnering with large refineries to ensure adequate feed stock supply for biodeisel plants
  • Partnering with governments to ensure maximum return for effort in expanding mandated biodiesel production
  • Partnering with developers of managed investment schemes with integrated production capabilities.
